Meet our Springfield trainer

Meagan Martin

“Dog training isn’t just about obedience; it’s about the strengthening of the bond between you and your dog. We do this through effective communication, enriching experiences and practice in order to provide freedom for both. The key to a well-balanced dog is a well-balanced life with well-balanced experiences.”

Meagan joins the OTPR team with her dog Bruce after moving here from California. For as long as she can remember, Meagan has been gaining experience caring for injured dogs and neonatal pups with her family. These experiences inspired her to start working professionally in pet care in 2017. After graduating in 2020 with a B.S. in Environmental, Earth and Soil Science, Meagan pursued dog training and behavoir as a full-time career.

With a holistic approach to dog training, Meagan’s goal is to provide your family with enriched bonding, increased happiness and cohesiveness. By focusing on how we communicate with our dogs, Meagan hopes to help you achieve your goals by providing knowledge and support creating a unique and attainable training plan.

I have been bringing my dog here for day camp since covid hit. He loves it here and they love him. But I have to say their trainer Megan is so amazing. She has given me so many new tools to use for my dog. She gave me one tip and it completely changed how he acts when we are out in public. She truly loves her 4 legged clients. Extremely professional and completely open to help when i have questions. I will be continuing to work with her in the future.
