The Olde Towne Pet Resort held our Quarterly Employee Appreciation events on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 to honor our employees.  It is all about them and the magic that they do every day to ensure our pets have wonderful experiences while they are with us.

In Springfield, we honored Vicky Gibson, Groomer, as our Employee of the Quarter. Vicky received many accolades from her co-workers who made an excellent nomination in honoring Vicky’s consistent and positive work attitude. She is always willing to help others and takes great pride in her work.  Vicky will celebrate her 7th anniversary with Olde Town Pet Resort in June.  Vicky started as a bather and was trained to be a groomer by Kim Roman.  Vicky has been recognized as Employee of the Quarter 4th Quarter 2006 and Employee of the Year in 2007.  Join us in congratulating Vicky!

In Dulles, we honored Holt Ockham, Pet Care Supervisor, as our Employee of the Quarter.  Holt celebrates her 4th anniversary with Olde Towne Pet Resort in May.  She began her career as a seasonal Pet Care Associate and did an amazing job resulting in a promotion to Pet Care Specialist and Pet Care Supervisor.  Holt was a critical member of the Dulles resort’s opening team.   Congratulations to Holt for her leadership.  Holt was previously recognized as Employee of the Quarter 3rd Quarter 2010 in Springfield.  Join us in congratulating Holt!

Town Hall messages were delivered by the respective General Managers, Dixie Eng and owner Leah Fried Sedwick in Springfield and Ellen Haynes and Steve Jones, President in Dulles.  Paychecks and tips were distributed.

In Springfield, Dixie led a question and answer session to refresh the team on our services offered at Olde Towne Pet Resort.  An Easter egg hunt was conducted with prizes for all. Each egg contained a question and answer or a pet proverb.  The menu was Chinese food from nearby Panda Cafe in honor of our Easter “fortune” eggs.

In Dulles, the staff voted popular Chick-fil-A as their meal venue and enjoyed an Easter egg hunt with prizes.

Olde Towne Pet Resort recognizes associates on a quarterly and annual basis for outstanding service.  Employees participate through a nomination process at each location.

In addition to recognition and honoring a co-worker, employees come together for a luncheon and fellowship with employees who they may not see on a regular basis due to shift work. Olde Towne Pet Resort is staffed 24/7 to provide services for our guests and their owners.
